MARKETING EXPERIENCE

Senior Marketing Manager

  • I started with EpiCypher helping out with market research, price modeling, customer profiling, and competitive landscaping prior to a new product launch. I also assisted with generating marketing copy for the website and product retargeting and Google advertisements. In addition to my main project, I also helped with shipping fulfillment optimization and selected/implemented a new company-wide project management tool. At the end of the summer, I was asked to continue my marketing internship throughout the school year.

Research Experience

Genetics Lab  Temporary Employee

  • Extracted DNA from leaf samples for library preparation and troubleshot protocol when necessary.

  • Developed and implemented sample organizational system with detailed master spreadsheet.

  • Trained the incoming student on the DNA extraction method and my organization technique.

Genetics Research Intern

  • Introduction to laboratory techniques and sample handling best practices

  • DNA extraction and quantification from fruit fly tissue for fly line quality control

  • Exposure to working with RNA samples

  • Wrote research paper and presented poster at undergraduate research symposium

  • Trained dual-enrolled high school student in lab practice

Research Assistant

  • Computational modeling of peanut proteins to gauge allergenicity

  • Group lead for year long research project - set deadlines, managed team expectations

  • Participated in group paper and hour-long group presentation and Q&A session 

  • Assessed the physiological effects of pharmaceutical drug, rosiglitazone, on protein structure and function

  • Attended weekly lab meetings and provided feedback on peer presentations
